Kaevuri maja offers a special chance to hold small seminars or training sessions in the living room. Of course, we serve coffee and gladly prepare a meal. We also take care of entertainment — whether it’s a guided tour in Kaevuri maja’s quirky garden, a health-supporting walk to the Tammiku mining hill, a workshop in the repair shop, a fun cocktail class after the sauna, or cozy disco evening in the living room!

We have a small museum, an outdoor exhibition “The story of the miner´s family,” a large local area map, a quirky garden, a campfire site, a barbecue corner, and depending on the season, many flowers and berries. Our flea market features a seasonal corner with our own farm products.

We educate ourselves and work hard to reduce our footprint. For example, we do not use plastic bags inside trash bins but kindly ask guests to sort waste carefully. We have several tips, requests, and recommendations to welcome you in an environmentally friendly way. You can help us a lot in protecting nature.

When the hosts are home, we can open a home café even just for one family — something is always available or quickly made. Cocktails, refreshing beer, a glass of wine, ice cream, and coffee are definitely available! Travelers can also have a meal break in the garden with their own food.

We offer accommodation for up to 15 guests, camping, and a place for caravans. Trainings and gatherings can be organized both outdoors (up to about 100 people) and in the living room (up to about 15 people).

We also provide party services — event and wedding hosting (in Estonian, English, Finnish, and Russian), DJ services, rental of tableware and party furniture, mobile bar, and catering. We have good relations with Santa Claus Arre. We operate all over Estonia.

We cooperate well with the local village society and work closely with locals on village, municipality, and county levels. We see ourselves as active community members.

We are located in the Tammiku village, 3 km from Jõhvi towards Latvia.
